Haiper Launches Haiper 2.0

Haiper, an AI video platform, just dropped Haiper 2.0, their big upgrade that promises to speed up the creation of hyper-realistic videos. This new version is rolling out just seven months after the original release.

The team behind Haiper boasted that their platform has grown to over 4 million users in less than 200 days. To celebrate, they’ve launched Haiper 2.0, which anyone can try now at https://haiper.ai. This version promises faster video generation and even better quality than before, "setting a new standard in the industry". Haiper 2.0 will reportedly soon support 4K resolution (wow!), and it already brings smoother movements and more lifelike animations thanks to advanced AI techniques, according to the founders.

Yishu, Haiper's co-founder and CEO, calls Haiper 2.0 a "groundbreaking upgrade" and highlights that users can now create ultra-realistic videos much faster. The company has listened to user feedback and focused on making the generation process quicker, improving realism, and enhancing temporal coherence (basically, how smooth the movement looks).

Using a mix of transformer models and diffusion techniques, Haiper 2.0 improves video quality, realism, and speed. This version also introduces the ability to generate 1080p videos faster than ever, with plans to upgrade to 4K in the future. Haiper's added features, like keyframe conditioning and an HD upscaler, give users more control over their video content, pushing the platform forward.

Haiper Video Templates

One of the most exciting new features is the launch of Video Templates. These templates make it easy for anyone, from hobbyists to big companies, to create videos without messing with complicated prompts. Whether you’re making a TikTok video or a business ad, these templates can save time and help bring creative ideas to life.

With hugging templates, you can make any two people hug. Just upload clear images from the waist up with the person in the center work better. This works best at 9:16 aspect ratio or 720x1280 resolution.

Another template is there to help you swap body movements.

To use body swap movements template at Haiper, upload a clear image from the waist up. This should match the same size as the video you want to apply it to. Upload a clear, well-lit motion video and click generate.

Early Feedback and Demos

Not all feedback has been positive. Some users are frustrated with technical issues and slow customer support. On Twitter, users complained about stuck video generations, slow response times, and system bugs that made it difficult to use Haiper 2.0. Despite the backlash, many are still curious about what the platform has to offer, especially with its ongoing 20% discount on subscriptions (I think it's only on yearly plans though).

Some users are unhappy with their experience, claiming videos get stuck in the queue, while others mention issues with the platform itself. Creators looking for more control over realistic movements and anatomy expressed disappointment in the output quality of Haiper 2.0. Despite these complaints, the AI-generated content, especially for horror or fantasy themes, has seen some success.

Personally, I think Haiper still has a long road ahead to catch up to the competition, which has become very strong at this point. They do have a very decent image generator. Nice website, great potential, but video model isn't quite there yet.

In summary, Haiper 2.0 promises faster, higher-quality video generation with more realistic movement, but technical issues and customer service concerns have left some users frustrated. If you’re willing to pay for credits, you can give it a shot and see for yourself. Video templates are a great idea that might help Haiper keep afloat and get their share of the pie, as competition in the space heats up.
