Do I have full commercial rights if I am a paid customer?
Yes! Any videos you are able to download without watermarks are yours 🙂 Please feel free to use them for commercial purposes and you retain the full rights to the asset.

Do I get to remove watermarks on my previous assets if I become a subscriber?
Yes! Upon popular requests from our community, we added this feature right before we launched the plan. You should be able to download your previous works without watermarks! (Please note due to technical constraints, earliest generations when we were first launched might still contain watermarks)

Ok, can confirm this neat option, downloaded my earlier video all clean no watermark. Here's how you do that:

If I subscribe today, do I still get to enjoy the 3-day unlimited credits?

Can I cancel a paid plan and get a refund?
Unfortunately a refund is not supported right now.
However, once your monthly subscription expires, you will not be charge for future payments starting the following month.

If I upgrade a plan (from Standard to Unlimited), do I pay less?
You will still need to pay the full amount of the new plan. However, any unused credits from the previous plan will be converted to Purchased Credits and they don't expire for 2 years

Do paid plans guarantee better video quality?
To make sure every member of our community (whether paid users or free users), we offer the same highest-quality video generation to all. There is no distinction in the quality of videos generated for everyone.

Why Your Hailuo AI Plan Update Might Be Delayed

Some people on Discord are confused, writing messages like 'i purchased the standard plan still showing up as trial'. When you upgrade to a paid Hailuo AI plan, like from Free to Standard, the changes aren’t instant—they go through a bulk update around 12:00 AM UTC. This nightly process handles all account upgrades and credit resets at the same time, ensuring the system stays balanced.

1. Bulk Plan Updates: If you bought your plan right before the daily update time, your upgrade might not show up immediately. Instead, you’ll see the change after the next 12:00 AM UTC update.
2. Daily Credits Reset: Credits refresh every day at midnight UTC, but they don’t carry over unused credits to the next day.

RIP Hailuo AI Free Generations

The community on Discord had mixed reactions to the announcement of Hailuo AI's new paid plans. While some users found the pricing fair and were excited about the new features, others expressed concerns about the cost, lack of clarity, and content restrictions.

But like it or not, the free ride on Hailuo AI's video generation express has finally reached its last stop. For a glorious month, users reveled in unlimited digital creativity, churning out everything from potential masterpieces to questionable experiments. But as with all good things, this complimentary creative binge couldn't last forever. The platform's shift to paid plans marks the end of an era for the freebie-loving crowd.

However, it's not all doom and gloom for the budget-conscious creators. A daily sprinkling of free credits awaits those who diligently log in, like a digital carrot on a stick. Meanwhile, those ready to invest in their artistic journey can look forward to perks like faster rendering and watermark-free creations. It's a brave new world where yesterday's freeloader becomes today's VIP subscriber – because let's face it, quality AI doesn't pay for itself.

Well, now that we know more details on the pricing, I think we can say it is on the pricey side for sure. But if their Unlimited plan can indeed guarantee fast-track generations, then it is better than Runway's where unlimited ones go through 'relaxed' mode conditional on GPU being available which can mean long waiting times.

Personally, I have a fat plan on Kling at the moment, bought at 50% discount when they launched, so am not rushing to subscribe. If I had a commercial project lined up I'd consider Hailuo AI, but to play around - no. Ok, scratch that, I might try one month just to see.

I think though they're fully within their right to set the price as high as they want. Market will decide if they can pull through enough buyers. There's choice now, and more competition is coming.
