Pika 2.0 Drops Scene Ingredients
Today Pika launched their Pika 2.0 model with sharper text alignment and amazing visuals.
Its standout feature?
Scene Ingredients.

It lets you upload images of people, places, and objects to give you more creative control than ever.
Scene Ingredients is all about building a shot with the exact character, object, outfit, or background you want. Upload as many photos as you like, add a prompt, and the improved image recognition tech figures out how they fit together, creating a smooth, complete scene.
Check out some fun demos here.
To use it, just upload a photo, and Pika merges it with the rest to craft your ideal scene. But Pika 2.0 is only available to people on the Pro and Fancy plans right now, so you'd need to cough up $35 per month on a monthly plan to access it.
Scene ingredients also take up more credits per video:
- 15 credits - 1.0/1.5 model
- 50 credits - 2.0 model (image or text-to-video)
- 100 credits - 2.0 model (using Scene Ingredients)
Overall,
I think Pika hit the nail on the head by going after the templates feature. It's model overall isn't top notch, and they probably need more time to improve its features, but they've identified this narrow but very in-demand nitche they could already cover, which is people loving to place themselves in short AI videos, even if those videos are just predefined scenes. As long as they're fun, the social media addicts will flock to use them. Haiper is going after something very similar.
In a way video templates remind me of these 'templates', haha:
