Today Figure CEO has unveiled their latest model - Figure 02.

F.02 was a ground-up redesign to achieve:

Brett Adcock, Figure founder, has posted this video presentation showcasing their latest humanoid robot. 

Features Highlights

Speech-to-speech Reasoning

The default UI to Figure 02 will be speech, so the robot is capable of speech-to-speech conversations with humans.

Onboard mics + speakers connected to custom AI models trained in partnership with OpenAI.

Vision Language Model

Figure 02 has an onboard VLM (Vision Language Model).

This enables semantic grounding and fast common-sense visual reasoning from robot cameras.

Upgraded Onboard Battery

Custom in-house designed 2.25 KWh battery pack in the robot torso, which delivers 50%+ more energy than Figure 01 to maximize robot runtime.

F.02 should hopefully be able to achieve upwards of ~20 hours of useful work per day.

4th Generation Hands

The latest human-scale hands are equipped with 16 degrees of freedom and human-equivalent strength which enables a wide range of human-like tasks.

The entire hand was designed in-house: mechanical, electrical, controls, and sensors.
