RenAIssance Paintings in DALL·E
Renaissance began in Italy in the 1300s and focused on making things look more realistic, especially people and landscapes. Artists used new techniques like perspective to make their paintings look more three-dimensional. They were inspired by ancient Greek and Roman art and started painting more non-religious subjects. Renaissance art celebrated human potential and individuality.
You know Dall-e is pretty good recreating art styles, right? I've decided to throw in some pretty wild ideas for these mock renaissance paintings just because why not?
I've used the same prompt but describing the new subject each time:
Generate an image in Renaissance art style, featuring [...]
This is what I got:

This last one gave Dall-E a bit of a headache. For some reason it wasn't sure how to paint Devil. I thought 'Satan' might help but nope. Then I uploaded a sample image of this mythical creature and still it drew me some sad old dude. Observe:

Fine, nevermind, let's have 3 sheep farmers dancing gangname style.

Ordered 3, got 1 free somehow. And all pretty much look like they've had botched plastic surgeries if you zoom in.
Dall-e And Selection Tool Edits
I've decided to torture Dall-e a bit with this one and used the selection tool to give it some editing prompts.
But no matter how hard I've tried, the model wouldn't give the charcters any of the clothing outfits I've specified. Closest it came was the color red. But never drew a skirt. Or a dress. Or a coat. Mostly kept changing shades/textures of the initial outfits.
RenAIssance: Video Made from Pictures in Luma Dream Machine
Month after generating the images above I've decided to use them to make an AI video in Luma Dream Machine. So here is what came of these renaissance paintings styled images. Music: Udio +: manual edits in Audacity, Edits: Openshot Video Editor.
